The Growing Faith Project

As part of the pastoral plan, the John Paul II Centre of Adult Education and Faith Formation is implementing the Growing Faith Project.  This is a resource developed by Bill Huebsch.  It is a systematic and comprehensive resource consisting of 48 leaflets on various topics drawn from theCatechism of the Catholic Church.

This resource can be used:

  • in households
  • at the parish
  • in small communities
  • with youth and young adults
  • as part of the RCIA process
  • in nursing homes
  • with parents of school age children
  • at parish meetings
  • in groups or individually

 

Format

The format is flexible and can be used in a variety of ways:

  • 6 modules of 8 leaflets each (outlined in the facilitator guide)
  • mini-courses – choose from the website or design your own by choosing any number of leaflets from among the 48
  • a 3-year plan (16 leaflets per year) for use within the Liturgical Year (available at www.pastoralplanning.com)
  • choosing 1 or more topics of interest

If you have extra materials that another parish would be able to use, email bthiele@archregina.sk.ca with the following information:

  • the number and title of the leaflet, eg. #1 – The Inborn Hunger for God, and the number of copies available
  • the title of books or guides and the number of copies available
  • the asking price
  • contact information

Available materials will be posted.  Please send notice when materials are no longer available.

    This week, I had the opportunity to hang out with some high school students as  we embarked on a  "pilgrimage walk".  We processed through parts of South Regina, with a group of about 70 teenagers, stopping at various points along the way to pray and reflect.
