NFP TRAINING: Are you a SERENA user couple who is interested in teaching other couples about this marriage-enriching method of natural family planning? SERENA will be facilitating a three-day training course on Saturdays, June 9, September 8, and September 29 from 9:00am-4:00pm in Saskatoon. Childcare, lunch and snacks will be provided. Teacher Couples in Training must have been a SERENA user couple for at least 6 months. As Teacher Couples teach the sympto-thermal method, they better understand their own fertility. Circles of Support and Accountability South Saskatchewan (CoSA) are experiencing an increase in the number of sexual offenders requesting circles of support to assist them with their reintegration into our communities. One of our organization’s core beliefs is “No More Victims”. We promote this objective by providing support and accountability to sexual offenders through circles of friendship and support.
Our circles assist offenders to successfully reintegrate into communities by offering support, modeling and encouraging a law-abiding lifestyle, and holding each other accountable for our behaviour. It is a fact that providing sexual offenders with circles of support allows the community to become engaged and participate in the process of assisting sexual offenders to reintegrate into a community that they have not always been welcomed into.
More and more, we are being asked to provide support to sexual offenders who are living in our communities. Therefore, we are actively recruiting volunteers to assist us in this work. We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life—people who are able to join our organizations to assist in our circles. CoSA invites your organization to assist us in this work.
As coordinator of CoSA in South Saskatchewan, I welcome the opportunity to talk with you and members of your organization about this work. I would like to provide you with an opportunity to join our Volunteer Basic Training to learn more of what Volunteers with our Organization do for our community. If anyone would like a presentation or more information on CoSA please feel free to contact us at 1(306) 949-2672 (office) 1(306) 537 -2672 (Amanda Richter Goddard – Coordinator) or email us at amanda.cosass@sasktel.net
