Ideas that emerged from statements such as:
  • In what ways might we better understand our faith?
  • In what ways might we become better Christian faith people?
  • "Cradle" Catholics update faith
  • Everyone needs to update their faith education - continue to take instruction
  • Have adult Catechism classes
  • More Bible studies
  • Offer or/and attend adult refresher courses

  • Reintroduce Catholic preschool classes
  • Have a question period at Mass
  • Have a question box - the priest answers the questions during Mass
  • Have lessons, information on annulments
  • Decentralization of training
  • Study what other countries do
  • Need to be educated re needs of the parish community
  • Social Justices issues - we all need to know more. Need to be educated. Enhance awareness. Remember Jesus said the poor will be with us always.
  • Some sacraments should be given later in life. Example: Confirmation
  • Find a balance between proper observance of our church rules and rigidity
  • Consistent rules throughout the Archdiocese
  • We need to research successes in other denominations
  • Invite clergy from other denominations to speak at our liturgies
  • Schools be more involved in the recruitment of priests
  • Consistency of baptism requirements
  • Carry Biblical quotations - pass them out
  • Promote separate schools
  • Emphasize the commandments
  • Take direction from Rome
  • Do not compromise our faith principles
  • Maintain the basic doctrines of the Church
  • Accept change - pre Vatican II was easier - set rules of yes and no answers. We will move on.
  • Summer Bible Camp for children
  • Give support to Friends of Catholic Schools
  • Search Weekends
  • Advertise (Christian advertising)
  • Free the people to think, understand the church is the "People of God."
