Ideas that emerged from statements
such as:
- In what ways might we be ecumenical?
- In what ways might we promote understanding between/among faith denominations?
- In what ways might we be Christians?
- Link with other denominations
- Work toward One World religion. See the universality of the Church.
- Look to other success stories, spirituality
- Unite with other faiths
- Have more inter-faith services
- Invite, collaborate
- Work to build bridges with Eastern Orthodox churches
- Learn about other faiths
- Share a facility with other church faiths (think of the saving! the opportunity!)
- One church building for all faiths
- Joint church endeavors - free day of care, services, respite, etc.
- Attract other churches to our parishes (other denominations)
- Continue to celebrate our inter-church group - continue inter-faith services held weekly
- Act as Catholic Christians, not just Catholic
- Welcome differences of other faiths, understand
- Live the gospel 24 hours a day. Our religion is a guide to living this way.
- Have less pomp and circumstance
- Accept baptized Christians of other Christian faiths - invite them to share Communion
- All Christians should be allowed to participate in Holy Communion -or explanation given
- Promote hope
- Ability to express the freedom of choice as expressed in collaboration by the people
