Here’s just a few of the excellent new DVDs that are in the Resource Centre. Who Cares About the Saints? features 12 stand alone episodes on the lives of: Dorothy Day, Thomas Merton, Joan of Arc, Francis of Assisi, Mother Teresa, Ignatius Loyola, Bernadette Soubirous, Pope John XXIII, Therese of Liseux, Joseph, Peter, and Mary, Mother of Jesus. The DVD also includes insights on how we view and use the saints today. Joseph of Nazareth is a feature length film that tells the story of the man chosen to be the father of Jesus. Foundations of Faith by Father Michael Himes explores 5 of the foundational building blocks of life in Christ: mystery, conversion, faith, hope, love. The Vision of the Gospels, also by Father Michael Himes, is 4 - ½ hour sessions which explore each Gospel in turn. Teach Us to Pray is a 4 DVD series which explores different aspects of prayer such as praying the psalms, praying the rosary, befriending God in prayer and praying our questions. Sarah’s Choice is the story of a young woman on the elevator of success who faces an unexpected pregnancy and must choose between her career and her baby. And for the kids, we’ve brought in more of the delightful Hermie and Friends series, including: Buzby, the Misbehaving Bee in which a simple act of kindness changes Buzby's heart and teaches him that God's rules are made to keep everyone safe. Stanley the Stinkbug Goes to Camp teaches that God created everyone for very special reasons and that even if someone is different, they still need to be loved and befriended.
