Celebrating Faith in Our Families

A 100th anniversary project to celebrate that faith is alive and well in many of our families.

Let’s reveal this reality - this good news!

Continuing until June 2010, the parishes will receive monthly bulletin inserts such as the following.  These inserts will also be printed in the ARCH and posted here

May: Moving Forward into the next 100 Years of Faith
Now that our children are adults, it’s very satisfying to watch as they mature spiritually.

From the very beginning, we encouraged each other to play an active role in the liturgy. Equally important was our continued commitment to examination and discussion of contemporary church events. Whether it was the foundational documents on social justice, the latest encyclical or coverage in the popular press, we promoted discussion.

We also tried to engender a true spirit of ecumenism and social justice. Whether it was our time in northern Canada or our work with refugees, we encouraged our children to seek out different perspectives and world-views. Through understanding these differences we can truly appreciate ourselves.

With such a diverse and rich heritage in our Church there is so very much to explore. As a family, we nurtured this quest for knowledge and understanding. For us, this represents the foundation of a maturing faith that will continue to grow over a lifetime.

Anita and Ian Hanna

Please say a prayer for the continued flourishing of faith in our families.
